TCG Clients Serve 18 New 60-Day Notices of Proposition 65 Violation
Our clients Russell Brimer, Dr. Anthony Held, Dr. Whitney Leeman, and Laurence Vinocur served 18 new 60-Day Notices of Proposition 65 Violation today to companies offering products such as hand tools, books, and ponchos in California that contain chemicals known to the State to cause cancer and reproductive harm, without the required health hazard warning. These citizen enforcers allege that the companies' products contain the phthalate chemical DEHP, the flame retardant TDCPP, and/or the heavy metal lead. DEHP and lead are known to cause birth defects and reproductive harm, while TDCPP is known to cause cancer. Some of the noticed companies include Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company, VOXX International Corporation, and Master Lock Company.
