The Honorable Ronald E. Quidachay, on December 21, 2006, approved the parties' Consent Judgment in Brimer v. UncommonGoods, LLC, et al., which resolved citizen enforcer Russell Brimer's allegations that the defendant UncommonGoods, LLC, sold glassware, containers, and glass candle holders containing the heavy metal lead in the State of California without providing the requisite health hazard warnings.

Pursuant to the parties' stipulated judgment, UncommonGoods agreed not to sell any glassware, containers, or glass candle holders in California unless the products carry appropriate Proposition 65 warnings.

The Consent Judgment requires payments totaling $18,000, comprised of civil penalties, 75% of which are paid to California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, and compensation to whistleblower Brimer and his counsel for their successful enforcement of this matter in the public interest.
