Citizen enforcer Michael DiPirro and Parma International, Inc. entered into a settlement agreement on November 29, 2000, later approved and entered as a Judgment by the San Francisco Superior Court, which resolved DiPirro's allegations that Parma sold balancing weights containing the heavy metal lead in the State of California without providing the requisite health hazard warnings.

As part of the settlement agreement, Parma agreed to place Proposition 65 health hazard warnings on the covered products, and DiPirro agreed to waive the imposition of civil penalties.

The Consent Judgment required settlement payments of $6,700 to reimburse whistleblower DiPirro and his counsel for their successful enforcement of this matter in the public interest.
