Client Laurence Vinocur has filed a complaint against A.D. Sutton and Sons, Inc. alleging that the company violated Proposition 65 by selling backpacks with vinyl/PVC components to California customers without the requisite health hazard warning for exposure to di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP).  DEHP is known to the State of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. After years of negotiation, Brimer has finally entered into a settlement agreement with Pro Performance Sports, LLC and The Sports Authority, which was approved by a judge from the San Francisco County Court on August 27, 2014. FGX International has issued a recall of its children’s sunglasses because its surface paint contains lead in excess of federal law. The sunglasses come in 20 styles of Disney, Marvel, and Sears/Kmart brand, in a variety of colors and with printed images of characters on the frames.  They were sold at Bon Ton, CVS, K-Mart, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and other retail stores nationwide from December 2013 to March 2014.  Consumers are advised to immediately take away the sunglasses from... full text
